Bengaluru FC Claims the AFC Spot
Bengaluru FC claims the vacant spot in playoff of AFC cup as All India Football Federation confirms it on Thursday.
As BFC finishes the third spot in ISL sixth season, All India Football Federation named Bengaluru FC to be playing in the playoff of AFC cup. Previously All India Football Federation named chennayin FC, ISL season runner up will be playing the playoff of AFC cup. But suddenly AIFF replaced Bengaluru FC with chennaiyin FC for the Asian Cup Spot.
FC Goa, the winner of the league named as a direct spot for AFC Champions League. Mohan Bhan champions of I league named as a direct entry to AFC cup. ATK champions of Indian super league claimed the spot of group qualifiers in AFC Cup. But ATK and Mohan Bagan merger brings the vacant spot for that place.
The decision from All India Football Federation brings lot of Criticism against them as chennaiyin fC who is the runner up of ISL Season 2019- 20 has been denied for this spot. Many football experts claims that the decision should be overturned and proper recognition should be given to ISL runner up.
