WWE Smackdown Live Results and Highlights 28th March 2020 – Bray Wyatt introduced New Firefly fun house and much more

WWE continues its Match in WWE Performance centre in the third straight week due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. WWE Smackdown Live is back with one week from Wrestlemania 36.

Venue: WWE Performance Centre
Date: 28th March 2020

Opening Segment

  • Bayley, Sasha Banks, Tamina, Lacey Evans and Naomi are in the Ring
Bayley blamed Paige for placing the five-way match at WrestleMania together. Banks agreed with Bayley that Paige’s design to pit them towards every different at WrestleMania was once out of line. However, seemed to hesitate at the notion they are “better together” before Lacey Evans interrupted the duo. After Bayley and Banks again invoked Evans’ daughter, Naomi was once the next to interrupt. Evans threatened to ruin Banks’ jaw, Naomi promised “the glow will shine through” and, unsurprisingly, the 4 ladies were interrupted through the match’s remaining participant, Tamina.

Tamina took out Naomi with a headbutt and then Evans with a superkick, permitting Banks and Bayley to pounce on Naomi briefly earlier than bailing after a Tamina staredown. A few brief prices from every girl isn’t definitely adequate to construct a WrestleMania title match, even underneath these bizarre circumstances.

Match No.1: Drew Gulak vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Gulak was wrestling in an effort to provide Daniel Bryan a chance to venture Sami Zayn for the intercontinental title at WrestleMania. Nakamura ran in for a Kinshasa however Bryan grabbed Gulak’s arm, shifting him out of harm’s way. Gulak then scored a roll-up into a jackknife pin for the victory, incomes Bryan his title shot.

Winner: Drew Gulak wins by Pinfall
Grade: B

  • Elias carried out a tune about King Corbin, calling him “a turd.” As Elias addressed the “capacity crowd,” Corbin charged in and attacked Elias, hitting him with his sceptre earlier than knocking Elias off the expanded stage. After a bit of digital camera trickery in the editing, Elias used to be shown on the concrete ground where he was once helped through WWE Persons
Match No.2: Alexa Bliss vs Asuka

Nikki Cross was on commentary for the match, main chants and comeback clap bits for Bliss in the empty building. The two ladies put on a hard-hitting suite that was once probable Bliss’ quality in shape in a long time. Bliss sooner or later picked up the win with a DDT, overcoming a shoulder that used to be laboured over by using Asuka from the jump.

Winner: Asuka wins by Pinfall

A new segment of Firefly Funhouse with Bray Wyatt, Wyatt said he now has the recipe to beat John Cena after failing at WrestleMania 30. He introduced a combination of components to a blende labelled, “disappointment,” “self-loathing,” “rage and resentment” and a sprint of warm sauce. He then stuck Ramblin’ Rabbit in the blender to symbolize “unnecessary and beside the point opinions” as the ultimate ingredient. Finally, Wyatt made the official WrestleMania challenge to Cena for a Firefly Funhouse Match. In common Funhouse style, the phase was a bit all over the place, but the thinking of a Firefly Funhouse match is, admittedly, intriguing. Cena is marketed as acting on subsequent week’s SmackDown to answer the challenge.

Match No.3: The New Day vs Usos (Winner will face Miz and Morrison in Wrestlemania)

Miz and Morrison were on commentary, with the winner of the match facing them for the SmackDown tag team titles at WrestleMania 36. The extraordinary chemistry of The Usos and New Day was on display, though the lack of crowd took away from another great effort given by the four men. Big E was taken out for a big section of the match, with his return to the bout signalling a step up in action down the stretch. The unfortunate end came when Miz and Morrison ran in from commentary and attacked New Day and The Usos, leading the referee to call the match off. This resulted in the announcement they would defend the titles against both teams in a ladder match at WrestleMania.

Winner: No Contest resulting in Both Usos and New Day will have a match with Miz and Morrison for WWE Smackdown Tag team Championship in Wrestlemania.
