The brand-new familiar champion Braun Strowman was out to kick off the post-WrestleMania edition of SmackDown. He commenced through announcing that when opportunity knocks, you answer, and that’s just what he did at WrestleMania through refusing to remain down while placing Goldberg down for good. Before the new regular champ should go any further, he was once interrupted by the man he recently defeated for the intercontinental championship, Shinsuke Nakamura.

Former champions Asuka and Kairi Sane seemed to have the upper hand momentarily when the former climbed atop the announce table and joined in on commentary, much to the delight of Corey Graves. Cross joined her up there, knocked The Empress of Tomorrow off and delivered a cross-body block off of it heading into the break. The challengers isolated Bliss, reducing her off from her partner. Sane delivered a huge spear for a near-fall that nearly earned her crew the titles back. 

Cross entered the fit and faired just about as well, enduring a huge back fist from Asuka and a modified Doomsday Device. The motion spilt to the flooring and Bliss delivered her finisher, Twisted Bliss, wiping each opponent out at once. Back inside, Sane averted any other Twisted Bliss however walked into a challenging proper hand that stunned her and a twisting neckbreaker from Cross earned the champions the victory.

Ziggler and Sonya Deville had been out and went right to the commentary table to give an explanation for they only want the fine for Mandy Rose. Mid Segment: The Miz and Morrison’s ” The Dirt Sheet”

The SmackDown tag group champions performed “Hey Hey” in the middle of the ring, claiming their latest record reached gold status just this afternoon. The Usos cut off the performance, though, truly unimpressed with the musical talents of the duo. Jimmy and Jey not-so-subtly attempted to power a wedge between Miz and Morrison, again and again inserting over the latter for carrying the team. The New Day arrived and Big E pitched the concept of the three opponents who did no longer compete in the Triple Threat Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania struggling with for the titles in any other three-way match. Kofi Kingston, channelling his inner-Teddy Long, revealed that the suit will in truth show up subsequent week.

Steve Cutler, Jaxson Ryker and Wesley Blake eventually made their predominant roster debuts Friday as The Forgotten Sons (Cutler and Blake) battled Lucha House Party’s Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado in tag crew action. The aggressive learners remoted Dorado, working him over with some severe and aggressive offence. A warm tag to Metalik sparked a short comeback but the newcomers downed the luchador and scored the win in the extended squash.

Mig Segment: Bayley and Sasha Banks returns, Tamina Interference

Sheamus returned to action this week, furious over his lack of inclusion on the WrestleMania card. His opponent, the rather unknown Cal Bloom, felt his wrath. The Celtic Warrior punished the newcomer and completed him off in brief order with the Brogue Kick.

Match No.5: Braun Strowmen vs Shinsuke Nakamura

The Monster Among Men sent Nakamura into the guardrail heading into the final business spoil of the evening. Back from the TV timeout, Cesaro delivered a huge European uppercut from behind that allowed Nakamura to deliver a knee to the face for a near-fall. Strowman fired up, bowled over Nakamura and planted him with the power slam and scored the win.

After the match, Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse interrupted Strowman’s celebration. Much like he rewrote records with John Cena, he told the story of Strowman’s introduction to WWE through The Wyatt Family and said he is coming returned for the WWE Universal Championship that he needs back. Strowman informed him any time, any place, to which Wyatt stared menacingly into the camera as the exhibit dwindled to black.
